Rules for Games:

Coaches will ref the games but only focus on out of bounds calls, fouls at times, and will encourage players to not travel, double dribble, etc. We want to introduce our kids to basketball and help them to love the game!

Fouls:

  • We will not keep track of team fouls.

  • We will not keep track of personal fouls.

  • Players will shoot one free throw on a shooting foul due to the running clock.

Defense

  • No pressing

  • All teams will encourage man to man defense

  • No double teaming (If this occurs the ref needs to blow the whistle and the other team takes the ball out on the side quickly).

Offense

  • Coaches need to encourage the players to share the ball.  Please make sure all of the kids get a chance to touch the ball.

Time Outs

  • One per team (one minute) Clock will run.   Coaches will be on the court reffing the game so timeouts may not be necessary.  You are welcome to encourage your players and provide guidance during the game.
